FIELD have gone top of the West Yorkshire League Premier Division following their 8-2 victory against Shelley.
Josh Milner opened the scoring for Field and it was 5-0 before the half-time break as further goals rained in from Chris Wood, John Penn and Milner, with an own goal completing the 45-minute tally.
Aiden Day made it 6-0, although Shelley responded with two goals before Field substitute Alex O'Keefe scored twice to wrap up the match.
In Division One, Baildon Trinity Athletic's four-match run came to an end when they lost 1-0 at leaders Stanley United.
Baildon started brightly and had a chance to take the lead following good work by Lee Mathers, only for Louis France to shoot straight at the keeper.
On the hour, Stanley grabbed the winner but Baildon spokesman Elliot Moody said: "We can hold our heads up high as we gave a fine display and we feel aggrieved at not coming away with at least a point."
Baildon Trinity Athletic Reserves have resigned from Alliance Division Two due to a lack of players.
