BRADFORD Park Avenue will be crossing swords with six different clubs next season after the constitution of the newly-named Vanarama National League North was revealed.

Avenue will be heading to the Impact Arena to take on Nicky Law's Alfreton Town after the former Bantams boss's side were one of three relegated from what was the Conference.

Former Guiseley manager Steve Kittrick's AFC Telford, as well as Nuneaton Town, also drop from the top tier – and as well as the trips to the Midlands, Avenue will also be heading a little further south to take on Corby Town.

Corby were promoted from the Southern League, while the two sides coming up from the Evo-Stik Northern League Premier Division are FC United of Manchester and Curzon Ashton.

The two Greater Manchester clubs will provide roses derby games – which will be welcome after Avenue lost neighbours Guiseley, who earned promotion to the National League by winning the play-off final at Chorley.

Champions Barrow were also promoted while Hyde, Leamington and Colwyn Bay were relegated, the Welsh outfit going down on a dramatic last day that saw Stalybridge Celtic survive on goal difference.

Although only two cubs were promoted and three relegated, the sixth new club took the place of Oxford City, who were moved sideways into what will be National League South.

However, while Avenue and their Northern counterparts are spared the arduous trip to the seat of learning, they will still have the journeys to Lowestoft Town, who were refused the opportunity to move to the southern section, and Gloucester City.
