FARSLEY will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat at leaders Salford City with a home win over Scarborough Athletic to boost their Evo-Stik Division One North play-off hopes on Saturday.

Neil Parsley’s men lost a tough battle 3-2 at Moor Lane and remain in sixth place.

But the manager saw enough in that narrow defeat to feel that his side can displace Scarborough from fifth position.

Parsley said: “There were more positives than negatives to take out of it for me, and that was pleasing.

“I thought we were good enough to get something from it. We didn’t, but we will go again in what will be another tough game.

“We didn’t lose any ground to Scarborough last weekend because they lost as well, so that was good from our point of view.”

The Seadogs are just one point better off than Farsley and have also played two games more.

They were denied a chance to get last weekend’s 4-2 home defeat by Warrington Town out of their system when their midweek North Riding Cup tie was postponed.

Brighouse Town face a tough test as Salford City are their visitors.

The team that is part owned by Manchester United’s ‘Class of ’92’ are three points clear at the top, while 16th-placed Town are consolidating in their first season in Evo-Stik Division One North.
