BACK-to-back postponements have prevented Silsden from building any momentum following victories in the North West Counties League Premier Division either side of the New Year.
The Cobbydalers are due to face Abbey Hey in Manchester. The home side are 17th but go into the game just three points above the trapdoor.
However, Abbey Hey are on 31 points already, which is almost double the total that Silsden’s great rivals Barnoldswick Town have banked so far, and they are the club just inside the relegation zone.
The Cobbydalers could climb as high as seventh with a win. They are also looking to complete the double after their 4-2 victory in the reverse fixture on the opening day of the campaign. Josh Brown (2), Dale Feather and Zack Dale were on target that day.
