WITH four matches coming up in ten days, Guiseley manager Mark Bower knows this is no time to be slipping up.

The third-placed Lions, who are in the thick of the battle for promotion from Vanarama Conference North, travel to Harrogate Town today and face the same opponents at home on New Year's Day.

They also tackle fellow title contenders AFC Fylde, who are second, at home on Sunday and Worcester City away on Sunday, January 4.

Bower admitted: "It is a tough set of fixtures – but it is the same for everyone. Look at Fylde, who play Barrow (leaders), us and Barrow again in their next three fixtures.

"However, they are the kind of games that, if you can get results from, you can make a real move.

"There are a lot of teams up there – Solihull (fourth) won their last match, we won, Fylde won, Barrow won, so the teams up at the top of the league keep on picking up results. But we just have to concentrate on ourselves."

As for facing Harrogate at the CNG Stadium, Bower said: "We have won six of our latest seven league matches, so we have a good little run going and will travel there with confidence, which is running throughout the side.

"However, it should be a cracking game against a side who are struggling a bit at the moment – but sometimes a derby is what is needed to get themselves going again.

"We are also fully aware of the players they have in their side, some of whom are well known to us. But the important thing is that we are picking up results."

Harrogate, who are 14th in the table, have signed forward Jordan Thewlis on a month's loan from Evo-Stik League Division One South side Goole AFC.
