TYERSAL may have only one West Riding County Amateur League victory so far but they have won through to the next phase of the Premier Division Cup.

Wayne Wright's first-half goal was enough to see off Hunsworth 1-0, while 2013-14 runners-up Campion also progressed by defeating Salts 3-2 at Marley Stadium, Steve Hollingworth (2) and Adam Jarrett netting for Campion and Jonny Cunnington (penalty) and Stuart Mullin replying.

Steeton were always chasing the game at home to holders Ovenden West Riding, who – after a hectic last 15 minutes – ran out 5-2 victors.

Glynn Beale (2), Jordan Coduri, Jay Carney and Leon Hurles-Brook were on target for Ovenden, while Andy King and Andy Holden responded for Steeton.

Littletown lost 2-1 at home to Halifax Irish in the first game of the season but gained revenge in the cup by the same scoreline.

James Sykes and Joe Jagger (penalty) were Littletown's marksmen, with Callum Meade netting the consolation.

Kirkburton, who have failed to pick up a league point, turned the tables on Storthes Hall with a 3-2 victory, while the clash between Premier Division leaders Bay Athletic and Golcar United stretched into extra time before Bay edged it 3-2.

Wibsey almost reached extra time in their Division One Cup first-round tie against Lepton Highlanders but an even contest ended 3-2, all the goals coming in the second half.

Jamie Brennan and Daniel O'Donnell (penalty) were on target for Wibsey, while Adam Bell scored twice for Lepton before, with normal time running out, Chris Gillespie snatched the winner for the Huddersfield side.

Meanwhile, Bradford Horton Sports eased into the next round when Paul Andrews' brace complemented goals from Abad Rashid and Tuseif Arshad as Storthes Hall Reserves were defeated 4-0.

Campion Reserves, without a point in the league, have made it two consecutive cup victories.

Having accounted for Spen Valley League side TVR United in the Bradford & District FA Cup the previous weekend, they had Paul Noble, Chris Helliwell, Usman Hussain, Maldini Nyandoro and Marvin Sorhaindo on target at they beat Dudley Hill Rangers 5-2, who had Roman Zurek and Danny Softley on target.

Holders Wakefield City thrashed DRAM Community 16-0, with Rob Bloomfield and Aaron Hurst both scoring double hat-tricks.

With only a handful of league games played, Mirfield-based Lower Hopton moved up to third in the Premier Division with a 3-1 home victory over Huddersfield YMCA.

In Division One, Overthorpe SC sent home visitors Steeton Reserves with their tails between their legs after a 5-1 drubbing.

Newcomers Gildersome Spurs OB are clear Division Two leaders, averaging over six goals per game. Their latest victory was an 11-0 thrashing of hosts Littletown Reserves, with Ben Keedy supplying six of the best.
