STUART McCall has a score to settle when he once again steps on Valley Parade’s hallowed turf tomorrow.

The City legend returns as part of the “Class of ’99” promotion team for a charity match against a side of celebrities.

The game – set up by Wayne Jacobs in aid of the One in a Million charity for disadvantage children in Bradford – is the second of its kind. Around 2,000 fans watched last year’s match when the pros were pipped 4-3.

For McCall, ever the competitor, that defeat sticks in the craw.

He said: “I know it’s a friendly game but it still rankles. As footballers, we always want to go out there and play to win.

“But I’m really looking forward to it. Last time was great, apart from the result, and it’s good to catch up with people you haven’t seen for a while.

“That was the first time that we got the 1999 team back together and it’s good that we can do it again so soon. Jakes has organised it really well again and I know all the lads will be keen to get their boots back on.”

It promises to be a midfield battle between Bantams bosses past and present as Phil Parkinson has agreed to join the celebrity opposition. Former Yorkshire and England cricket captain Michael Vaughan is also taking part.

The game kicks off at 3pm and entry is £5 on the turnstiles. There are also tickets available at £10 which include pie and peas in the McCall suite and a post-match question and answer session with the 1999 team plus Vaughan and former Bulls coach Brian Noble.
