There could be no greater incentive for Farsley Celtic tonight as they head to Moor Green than knowing a victory could take them up to second in the Conference North.

But the division is so tight that seventh-placed Celts could be joined on 40 points by Moor Green, who are tenth. That could leave five clubs effectively joint fourth, it is that close at the higher end.

"There is a possibility but nothing else," said Farsley manager Lee Sinnott on his club's chances of moving up to the table.

"There are other games going on that need to be factored into the equation. We just have to keep our heads down and get on with it.

"I have never known a league as tight as this one at this stage of the season. Usually the split has started around the turn of the year.

"That isn't the case with this season in this division. We have put ourselves in a very good position but then everyone else has been doing just as well - but there is a great opportunity for us tonight."

Sinnott says there are question marks over Simeon Bambrook, goalkeeper Paul Cuss and vice-captain Chris Stabb.

Left back Martin Pemberton is definitely out as he aggravated a back injury in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Worksop Town.

Sinnott added: "I would hope we get the go-ahead. Moor Green play their games at Solihull Borough, which is the ground where Birmingham City reserves play their games. The pitch is very good."
