Danny Boshell has returned to Nethermoor and will be in his new role when Guiseley travel to North Ferriby United for tomorrow night’s Skrill North clash.

Manager Mark Bower has been looking to appoint an assistant and has turned to the 32-year-old midfielder as assistant player-manager.

Boshell made almost a century of appearances for the Lions in a three-year spell before a fall out with former manager Steve Kittrick led to his departure.

He comes back to the club after a short spell at Lee Sinnott’s Altrincham. He agreed his release from the Moss Lane outfit - league rivals of Guiseley - after Bower’s approach and is looking forward to his first coaching role.

Boshell will be in the dug out for tomorrow night’s game as the number two but he may not be on the teamsheet.

That will depend on confirmation from the league that his transfer from Altrincham has gone through in time.

The Lions bagged their first point under former Bradford City skipper Bower on Saturday with a 1-1 home draw against Histon.

They are, however, still in the relegation zone, while North Ferriby are third in the table, despite a 2-0 defeat at AFC Telford United at the weekend.

On what is a busy night for the local semi-pro clubs, Thackley are also in action and following today's FA Vase draw, they and Brighouse Town now know who they will face in the second round.

The Dennyboys, who knocked Eccleshill United out at Dennyfield on Saturday, are at home again.

They will host Armthorpe Welfare, who edged Liversedge out in a seven-goal thriller at Clayborn at the weekend.

Brighouse will travel to North West Counties top-tier outfit Norton United. The ties are due to be played on Saturday, November 16.

Thackley’s task tomorrow night is to keep a tight grip on the leadership of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

The Dennyboys face a tough game at promotion-chasing Worksop Parramore.

Brighouse moved up to fourth following their comfortable 5-2 derby win at Albion Sports.

They will be in search of another maximum against fifth-from-bottom Winterton Rangers tonight.

Albion will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointment when they travel to basement outfit Nostell MW, who have banked just four points from 17 starts.

Silsden are on the road as they head to Stockport Sports in the North West Counties League Premier Division.
