James Burke continued his great run of form as he swept to victory in the two-day Scratch Championship at Crow Nest Park.
An opening round of 72 left Burke level with Steve Smith at the halfway stage but his main rivals fell away in the second 18 holes as a level-par 70 left him five shots clear of runner-up Chris Mowl, who scored 77 and 70.
Meanwhile, Crow Nest ladies vice-captain Julie Langfield and guest Karen Roche (Meltham) won the Hove Edge club’s annual Ladies Open with a score of 40 stableford points.
Amanda Mowl, the previous week’s Past Captains Trophy winner, added the Crow Nest Park Ladies Golden Jubilee trophy to her collection with an excellent round of gross 99 for a nett 71.
