Leeds United's caretaker boss Neil Redfearn has ruled out the possibility of becoming the club's next manager.

Taking temporary charge of the side for the second time in 14 months following Neil Warnock's departure, Redfearn says he is taking things "game by game" as Leds prpeare to visit Charlton on Saturday.

He said: "I was asked by Shaun Harvey after the Derby game on Monday if I'd step up again, and it's very much a game-by-game situation.

"I'm an employee of the club and I'm here to help. It's a needs-must situation and I will take care of things until the new man comes in.

"I'm not putting myself forward for the job, but I'm prepared to put my head above the parapet and help out.

"There's a lot of good people at this club and it's important someone is there to take care of it."

Meanwhile, MK Dons boss Karl Robinson has distanced himself from speculation linking him with the vacant managerial post at Elland Road.

Asked about the Leeds job, he replied: "I've not achieved anything yet so it's a little bit obnoxious and arrogant for me to start looking at another job.

"Whoever goes in at Leeds has a mountain to climb but it's a mountain that a lot of people would love to try and go up.

"Leeds is a job that everyone would look at and think it's the promised land. People hold it in high regard because of the past players that have worn that amazing white shirt.

"You have to be respectful to the club you are working for. I'm happy where I am. I never want to talk about another football club when it's got nothing to do with me."
