As the West Riding County Amateur League season enters its final third, the tussle to avoid relegation from the Premier Division is wide open, with any of the bottom eight clubs in danger of dropping down in early May.

On Saturday, Campion, who have only nine league games remaining and are only five points above one of the two relegation spots, host bottom-placed Overthorpe Sports Club at Manningham Mills.

Overthorpe, after gaining promotion last season, look to be heading straight back into Division One as they have only taken six points from their 16 games.

With second-placed Bay Athletic involved in the Huddersfield & District FA Challenge Cup, leaders Steeton will be looking pile the pressure on their rivals and return from Hall Green United with another three points.

Third-placed Salts who are 11 points adrift of Steeton, travel to Littletown.

Hunsworth, who head Division One on goal difference ahead of Huddersfield YMCA, entertain Lower Hopton, who, after being relegated from the top flight last season, have struggled to be among the promotion contenders.

Three successive defeats have seen Ventus-Yeadon Celtic drop out of promotion contention, but this weekend they welcome struggling Wibsey to Dam Lane.
