Albion Sports 1, Pontefract Collieries 0
A first-half goal was enough to give Albion Sports a narrow victory over Baris Northern Counties East League Division One promotion rivals Pontefract Collieries – despite the home side ending the game with ten men.
Former Ponte midfielder Liam Ormsby put his old club to the sword when he fired into the top corner after taking a through-ball from Elliott Holmes.
But Albion’s Adam Jones was shown a straight red card with 15 minutes remaining following a fracas.
The win saw Sports reach the 60-point mark and moved them back up to third place ahead of this weekend’s local derby at Eccleshiil United.
