SIR - There has been much mention in the T&A of various fantasy schemes for HS3 trains through Bradford. Perhaps campaigners should concentrate on keeping services we already have.
In the new Northern timetables starting on May 20 the hourly through trains from West Yorkshire to Blackpool have been discontinued. It will now be necessary to change at Preston, adding 25 minutes to the journey time as well as a lot of inconvenience.
Why has there been no coverage of these cuts? What is Northern's excuse?
