SIR – At a recent meeting of Bradford Civic Society it was decided to compile a list of all the commemorative plaques within the old Bradford city limits. As far as we know no such record exists.
This is a preparatory exercise before considering suggestions for further plaques to mark worthy past citizens, buildings and locations which deserve to be remembered and respected.
Finding all of these will be a considerable challenge, especially those in more obscure locations. The Civic Society is appealing for help from T&A readers who may know of such plaques. Brief details of the subjects and locations (so we can find them to be photographed!) can be sent to my address or by e-mail.
Any replies will be most gratefully received. I hope there will be many and I am sorry that it may not be possible to acknowledge them individually.
