SIR – My husband and I would like to say a big thank-you to all the organisers of Sunday’s Skyride cycle event. We joined the ride at Lister Park, and it was a carefully thought-out route.
Going along Manningham Lane was amazing – no cars. Such fun, time to chat, take in all the buildings around us and many memories of what used to be.
It was brilliant to see so many people, young and old, especially the children, some being pulled along behind by their parents. Well done to them for all their efforts in keeping them going.
The APS security guards kept cheering us along along the route and finally into Bradford Centenary Square, which was bustling and full of entertainment. The water feature was enjoyed by all.
The highlight was in Lister Park. The courses set up for the children to tackle with their cycles was so much fun, and we were only watching!
Special thanks go to the play activities department and the adventure play department. Their hard work and energy was a credit to them all.
This is the first cycle event we have attended, and now we are hooked. We look forward to more please in beautiful Bradford.
