SIR – As I traverse the environs of Keighley I am heartened to see shiny, attractive and expensive-looking town council signs welcoming me to each and every district.
I am welcomed to Showfield, to Sandbeds & Riddlesden, to Utley and Beechcliffe, to East Morton, to Highfield, to Hainworth, to Hainworth Wood and to Long Lee and Thwaites Brow.
I am even welcomed to the outlying district of Laycock and Goose Eye. Were there a Keighley district called Dead End the Council would doubtless ensure there was a welcoming sign there too.
Sadly, as I return to my humble abode in Bogthorn I see no welcoming sign. I have to ask – why?
