SIR – All day commuter parking on Frizinghall Road down by the station is becoming an increasing problem. It dangerously restricts the road on the bend over the railway bridge. Yet immediately adjacent to the station the huge parking area that used to be part of Farnell's is standing locked and empty.
The Council and Northern Rail should get together to see if they can solve this parking problem. After all, the new Apperley Bridge station is to have 300 dedicated car parking spaces. Why should Frizinghall be congested with on-road parking?
