SIR – I totally agree that the correct thing to do with a bag of dog faeces is to put it in the appropriate bin or, failing that, if there is no bin readily available, take it home and dispose of it.
This sensible approach is unlike something I witnessed from my window the other morning – a young lady walking down my road bagged her dog’s ‘deposit’ and then promptly put it down the grate in the road. As I was still in my night attire I could not go and remonstrate with her. You know who you are.
