SIR – Since losing my cat several weeks ago, I have noticed there are many cats missing in the Keighley area.
After searching lost and found on the internet, I was surprised at the amount of cats missing over the whole of the country. Friends tell me “If he’s microchipped, you will get him back”.
Microchipping only works if someone finds your pet and takes it to a vet, the RSPCA or any animal rescue centre where it will be scanned for free, then reunited with its owner.
