SIR – I visited Manchester recently, and the contrast with Bradford could not be more stark.
Their light rail metro link is a big success. By 2012, 20 miles more of new track will be laid.
There will be links to Rochdale, Oldham, Chorlton and Droylesden.
Why we can’t put a few hundred yards of track down to link the two railway stations is beyond me. Come on, Bradford, please show some vision for the future.
