SIR - Regarding the article about two bowel cancer drugs not being widely available on the NHS due to costs (T&A, August 24). How sad this must be to the many charity workers who spend such a lot of time and effort just so that one day there will be a cure for all cancer sufferers.
Also we all pay through our working lives in insurance stamps so that if we are ill the NHS will look after us.
It looks like more and more the NHS is letting down the very people it is supposed to help, those of us who cannot afford to go private.
