SIR – Having just used Leeds Bradford International Airport, I feel the £2 drop-off charge insulting.

As the highest airport above sea level in England there is still a fair walk to the terminal without cover. A tunnel-type walkway, similar to an extended bus shelter, with sides would be appreciated.

The originally painted red crossings on the walkway are crumbling. While pulling along one’s cases there is great difficulty in keeping them upright. This to me creates a health and safety hazard.

So come on LBI, bring it up to international standard and all is forgiven.

It’s because of us paying passengers that the airport exists.
