SIR - It was a delight to bump into, after many years, my former work colleague David Rhodes while out shopping the other day.
Like David, I too, have a problem with pigeons defecating all over the backyard. They certainly can be a nuisance.
However, compare to this, the disappearing forests and wildlife, polluted air, land and sea and runaway global warming and consequent weather-related disasters, not to mention the melting polar ice caps and rising sea levels, all of which are the result of incredibly destructive human selfishness.
With the above man-made nuisances of global proportions in mind, the excreta of our feathered friends, seem to pale into insignificance!
