SIR - M Long's comment regarding the future looking bleak is a weak argument (T&A, August 25). Has he ever been in dialogue or interacted with Muslims on any subject, before making such preposterous statements?

His statement that there is "not a single Muslim person in Bradford who will speak on Israel's behalf on any issue" may have some credence but I'd like to ask M Long to name one policy which Israel has introduced or implemented which has helped both Israel and Palestine?

M Long seems to lay the blame on the doorstep of Muslims and insults the intelligence of people with his statement about the Middle East conflict, which is decades old. I feel where there are any injustices in the world people will stand up against them regardless of their religious convictions, colour or creed and make a stand together.

Finally, I'd like him to answer this: why does "terrorism" exist in the current world climate? And why don't these terrorists attack countries like Sweden, Switzerland or Norway? It's time to wake up and understand what our Government is doing in our names.
