SIR – We must save the NHS from the dangerous plans of being forced through by Health Minister Andrew Lansley.
Back in February, Lansley thought his plans would be law by now. But they’re not. The Government was forced to delay their plans and launch a “listening exercise”.
Last Tuesday, the “listening exercise” ended. Now, behind closed doors, senior politicians are arguing about what to do next.
Hardliners want to push on with Lansley’s plans, but others are saying it’s time to go back to the drawing board. The press reports that they’re aiming to reach an agreement in two weeks.
It’s the 64th birthday of the NHS in July. We must keep up the pressure by contacting our MPs telling them to oppose the dangerous NHS plans.
