SIR – This is the only way to try and thank the young gentleman called Nick who came to my rescue on Monday March 21.
Myself and two friends were on Baildon moor at around 4pm when my car broke down.
This young man stopped his car to ask if we were okay. He tried to help, but I had to get Green Flag in the end.
Not only had he tried to help, but he offered to take my friends back in to Shipley, which was the wrong direction for him.
On his way back, he stopped again to make sure I was okay while waiting for the breakdown vehicle. May I say a big thank you to Nick. Chivalry is not dead after all with the younger generation.
Heather Pilkington, Glen Road, Baildon
