SIR - In the front page article (T&A, August 8) in which a rap artist appeared giving a Muslim perspective on 7/7 London bombings and the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Centre, the artist's stated aim was to open debate - fine.
However, earlier in the year an artist tried to present a non-Muslim perspective by drawing a few cartoons featuring the prophet Mohammed.
Not only was the artist condemned but under Sharia law a beheading was called for by some.
It seems to me necessary for the Muslim community to decide free speech or no free speech.
Picking and choosing is not an option in a modern 21st century democracy.
