SIR – Political bias in the BBC goes on unabated. The top executives, such as Mark Thompson earning over £800,000 a year, allowed the BBC to be politicised by Labour, with such as “press officer” Alistair Campbell doing the underhand work.

They were complicit in giving Blair and Brown a propaganda platform for their misguided regimes, so are also guilty, in a way, of leaving the UK in a mess.

With a plethora of “champagne socialists” and ex-Communists, issues which greatly concerned the majority, such as European Union and immigration, were kept taboo and off the screens until recently.

The coalition has come up with more bright ideas, especially for the community, than Labour did in ten years.
