SIR I would like to congratulate the committees and individuals who organised two excellent local galas in Thornton and Allerton over the last two weekends.
Both galas were well attended by the local population and the varied events and stalls made both events memorable occasions.
A special thank you to Kelly Berry for her outstanding work in organising the first gala in Thornton for many a year and to Andy Robertson for his smooth running of Allerton Gala.
I am sure many people in the area are, like me, are already looking forward to next year's events.
