SIR A while ago you very kindly printed a letter from me about the forming of the Royal Naval Electrical Branch Association to commemorate the 60th anniversary of its formation on January 1, 1946.
It just goes to show how popular "Letters to the Editor" is in the local papers because the response from the readers has been terrific.
Already ships and shore establishments have been mentioned and we are looking for ex-Electrical Branch members from HM Ships Barrosa, Tyne, Bulwark, Centaur, Alamein, Ark Royal, Hardy, Tenby, Jutland, Plymouth, Mohawk, Arrow, Adamant, Dundas, Grafton, Kenya to name just a few, along with short establishments such as HMS Collingwood, of course, as this was the Electrical, Radio and Radar Training School. The years served span from the 1940s to the 1990s with many from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
May I invite any ex-Royal Naval Electrical Branch members to send me a couple of second-class stamps (to help association funds) for details.
Mike Crowe, Royal Naval Electrical Branch Association, 7 Heath Road, Lake, Sandown, Isle of Wight PO36, 8PG
