SIR - So the parade of shops known as Little Beirut' in Buttershaw has been demolished (T&A, July 13).
I can assure you the eyesore and decay is still up and crumbling. The photograph you printed can be duplicated any time Gerry Sutcliffe and Mr Dylak care to re-visit.
The Ripple Drug Centre has indeed been much improved and a most welcome pharmacy has been provided. Is this where the reported £1.5 million has been spent?
When can the people of Buttershaw expect the development of shops as promised?
