SIR - In reply to the article "Care for thousands to be re-assessed" (T&A, June 21), I think it is outrageous that we have to read and find out about this in the paper.
In the past there have been meetings about changes in the system at the centre I attend before anything in the paper.
Losing a day in the first round of this assessment is going to cause problems for me as to where to go and what to do. Any more lost days would present a bigger problem.
Reading about this has caused me great concern and a certain amount of stress.
Through no fault of our own we have been born with disabilities and should not be penalised in this way.
It is time that all disabled people got together and fought for their rights.
