SIR – I purchased some fresh cod from my local supermarket for £5.04 which would have been sufficient to make six fish sold at my local chippie, at £2.25 each.
That’s a difference in cost of £8.46, but owners say these changes are necessary to cover overheads.
Who do they think they are ‘codding’.
