SIR – I read with great interest the list of Yorkshire Forward’s cuts (T&A, July 2), but noted this quango is keeping tight-lipped on the fate of the Odeon.
Surely now this public-funded body can do itself and the citizens of Bradford a favour by giving this building back to the people who care, or are they frightened of losing face after such a long battle?
Just take a look at the photograph you printed alongside that report – doesn’t that building look beautiful peeping out between all that here-today, gone-tomorrow modern rubbish?
