SIR – Would Bradford ratepayers’ £4.3 million be better spent on funding a bypass around Saltaire?
It appears that, unlike Skipton, Keighley and Bingley, planners at Saltaire can mystically reduce the traffic levels at the roundabout by doing some pedestrianisation and the addition of traffic lights.
Is the planners’ answer that commuters will become so disillusioned with the traffic queues that they will either take the already full trains or relocate?
