SIR – The Cathedral city of Bradford, given the accolade City of Film, has a magnificent Town Hall; fine Victorian buildings; beautiful parks like Lister Park, voted the best in Britain; the world-renowned National Media Museum; art galleries; theatres; cinemas; markets; award-winning restaurants; big screen TV; a free bus service; shops aplenty, and a prestigious University.

Yet Betty Thompson says it’s a dump (Letters, June 10). Surely she is deluding herself.
