SIR – I note with amusement your article on the streets of Bradford being the dirtiest in the country, as investigated by the GMB union (T&A, June 9). Maybe you should inform the union who makes the mess – their own members!
You can always tell when the dustbin men have been. Before the wagon arrives, all the dustbins are neatly placed at the side of the road. After it has been, the bins are thrown anywhere, sometimes left in the road or blocking footpaths and driveways.
Often there are bits of rubbish from the bins lying around. Maybe the GMB should investigate their members as they seem to lack motivation and a pride in their work.
