SIR – As a resident of Bradford, I fully support people showing their support for England in the World Cup by displaying their flags.
Unfortunately, I see people from other cultures are not happy, saying the flags offend them, as it is ‘racist’ putting them up.
Do we not live in a multicultural society where we are all supposed to get along? Yet we hear of supermarkets asking shoppers to take flags off their vehicles as it offends their staff.
Nearly all of England is supporting the tournament, even those who don’t like it. Is it not time that we all got along without these conflicts? Good luck England.
