SIR – There seems to be a shortage of kidneys for people on dialysis and I’m wondering whether it would help for there to be some incentive to encourage people to donate organs after they have passed away.
I know there is a voluntary scheme in operation, but to have some incentive just might get people to sit up and think.
Maybe a reduction on the funeral costs. Being a Yorkshireman myself, I’d put my name down for that one.
