SIR – The story on the Greens aiming for a big breakthrough (T&A, April 17) contained a classic political oxymoron.
Party leader Caroline Lucas stated that the two foremost policies were the economy and the environment.
How will adding to the price of petrol, increasing the cost of flying and the levying of other eco taxes (the environment) help the economy? You can’t have one with the other.
