SIR – Election fever or election apathy is now upon us. Some of us won’t bother to vote and then will spend the next year (or five years) complaining about our leaders. This time, why not do it differently?
1. Check you are on the polling register.
2. Make sure you know when and where to vote.
3. Look at the mess we are in – locally and nationally.
4. Decide who, if anyone, is to blame (and might not deserve a vote).
5. Decide who might do the best job in future and go and vote.
Don’t believe all they tell you – use your brains, not someone else’s.
Please get out and cast a thinking vote. The next council/government might surprise us yet.
