SIR – There are now a quarter of a million unemployed in Yorkshire compared to the rest of the country, despite the green shoots of recovery, and it would seem that central government has forgotten what is north of the Watford Gap.
One of largest counties in the country seems to get passed by every time for investment for rail and road and pubic transport. What has happened to Gordon Brown’s promise to invest in Bradford and get the Westfield site on the move again?
Invest in Yorkshire again and the county can give London a run for their money.
