SIR - Why is Valley Parade where it is? Chris Tarrant explained on Channel 5 on September 5 that with the advent of the railways in the middle of the 19th century buildings and institutions were built where the railway stations were. In those days up to Beeching, Manningham station was extant so Valley Parade was built nearby in 1880.
