SIR - Here we go again, judges complaining that their hands are tied when it comes to sentencing.
Judge Jonathan Rose says that the maximum sentence of two years for dangerous driving is "woefully inadequate". He tells the dangerous driver stood in front of him "it is one of the worst pieces of dangerous driving this court has had the misfortune to see", then goes on to jail the man for 14 months.
Now I never was too good at maths but I do know there are 24 months in two years. Can anyone please explain where the other available 10 months imprisonment went to?
