SIR - It was reported in the T&A on July 23 that a dangerous criminal has been jailed for three years seven months for scalding a victim with boiling water after forcing his way into his home. The report stated that the criminal had previously been convicted of robbery in 1990 and locked up for 13 years, and in 2002 locked up for robbery for 14 years, and jailed for 6 years in 2011 for drug dealing?

Will someone please explain to this thick Yorkshireman how a person has managed to serve 33 years in jail since 1990?
