SIR - Am I the only one in Bradford sick to the back teeth of the increasing number of humps which seem to be appearing on our roads?

I am now faced at least twice a day with the new ones which have surfaced on Abb Scott Lane and Common Road.

What I find more annoying than anything is the height of these things. Does the Council not realise that we don't all have your average four-door saloon and some of us have low-lying cars.

I would be interested to know if Bradford Council will kindly replace my exhaust when one of these humps eventually knocks it off.

No matter how I navigate these things, every time another chunk is taken out of my car.

I agree in principle that we need to stop drivers speeding, however, at the end of the day, if someone wants to go at 100mph, then the speed bumps are not going to stop them.

In fact, with them being laid so high now, some will probably find it more exhilarating in that they can now re-enact their favourite James Bond movie!
