SIR - Well another week of noise and pollution has gone by, it's no longer Bonfire Night it's Bonfire Month.

It's obvious from the decibels of the bangers they are illegal but what the heck?

The Council hasn't got the manpower to check every corner shop be it fruit and veg or sweets to see what is being sold and to who, why bother with rules?

The only real answer is to ban the sale of all fireworks to the public this makes a lot of sense especially as on the day, November 5, the leader of MI5 says we have at least 4,000 terrorists in this country and more being groomed every day.

It doesn't make sense selling explosives to the public 365 days a year which is what is happening in Britain.

I will wait and see how many convictions there are this year if it reaches more than two I'll be amazed.
