SIR - I agree with Gavin Stamp (T&A, October 26) when he says that a "lake doesn't suit the city." It will be totally out of character.
Soon, a child will fall in and drown. It isn't possible to have it watched every hour, day and night.
Also, water attracts litter, and we have enough litter on the streets. Hoping the Council changes its mind.
