SIR - In reply to the letter from Councillor Stanley King (T&A, October 30), there is no finer public servant than Coun King, a man who has dedicated a large part of his life to the cause of public transport and to the trolleybus, both here in Bradford and elsewhere.
But if we are to ever see trolleys here again, where is the influence of our Council, perhaps in including the re-introduction of trolleybuses in its own plans for economic regeneration?
Sadly, they seem more preoccupied with large heaps of demolition rubble at various points of our city centre, and with mirror lakes and other such follies.
And where are our MPs on this? Are they too focussed on personal careers to work together with the council and others in promoting a project that really would aid regeneration and put Bradford on the map?
